This study is part of two projects led by Michigan State University scientists and funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) trought the INFEWS and Convergence initiaves. It aims to understand the social-ecological impacts of large-scale hydroelectric dams in the Brazilian Amazon, and provide energy solutions for off-grid communities in the same geographical area. I have been participating in this study as a research assistant for Dr. Maria Claudia Lopez.
